His COMEDIES (Volume I), HISTORIES, SONNETS AND OTHER POEMS (Volume II), and TRAGEDIES AND ROMANCES (Volume III) are photographically reproduced from the highly praised Globe edition of 1904. Rowse has written a biography of Shakespeare, introductions to each volume and each play, as well as supervised the annotations and the selection of the 4,200 illustrations. Original slipcase shows signs of wear, particularly at corners and edges. However, it is still very sturdy and in good shape. Vol I original dust jacket lightly creased, particularly at the spine, and shows shelf wear particularly at the bottom. Boards straight and square with light shelf wear visible. Top of spine sunned, bottom shows shelf wear. Vol II original dust jacket is lightly creased in places, particularly the spine, and shows mild shelf wear.

Flaps intact and lightly sunned. Shelf wear at bottom of spine and sunned at top of spine. Vol III original dust jacket lightly creased in places and especially at bottom of spine. Boards straight and square with light shelf wear visible along the perimeters.
