Most of our items are Scratch & Dent items that don't fit neatly into either category. They are new in the sense that they are unplayed, generally factory sealed, and NOT pre-owned.

If the item IS pre-owned we will state that in the condition description. However if we check "New" then we can't describe the items' conditions and tell you how they are dented or dinged, so we have to check "Used".

When needed for more detailed descriptions on pre-owned items, we use the standard comic book grading scale to describe the conditions of our items, as follows: - Near Mint (looks like new) - Very Fine (some wear and tear, minor dings and dents) - Fine (noticeable dings, dents, tears, but nothing major) - Very Good (larger dings, dents, tears, scuffs, structure still intact) - Good (major dings, dents, tears, scratches, useable but needs some extra care). If the listing is for a single item we will describe the individual dents and dings. If it is a multiple item listing, we will put New and Sealed. All boxes have dents, dings and/or tears.

The last part means the box will have cosmetic issues: dents, tears, dings, bulges, wrinkles etc. Nothing will be horribly damaged, we don't put badly damaged items into multiple listings. It works well for most of our average-sized and larger items, such as board games and other boxed games, as well as books. It does not do a very good job with small, light items such as miniatures, where the packaging weighs as much as or more than the actual item.
