LORD OF THE RINGS JRR TOLKEN HARDCOVER WITH DJ BOX SET 1978 HOUGHTON WITH MAPS Very nice vintage 1978 boxed set of JRR Tolken's Lord of the Rings. This boxed set was published by Houghton Mifflin Company Boston. This is the second edition from 1978. All books are beautiful black hardbacks with dust jackets and all maps attached in back of the books. Books are 9"x6" and are in excellent condition. The box has a tear at the bottom and a light stain top edge. The Fellowship DJ has some minor tears on spine edges. Please see photos for details.   

Great vintage condition with some obvious signs of wear and age to box "as documented in photos".

Please examine all of the pictures and let me know if you want more pictures or have any questions. My dad got this years ago and I don't know anything about it so please ask for more pics if need be.

VTG 90s The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Hardcover Books Box Set & Maps JRR Tolkien. This beautiful edition is in like new condition with the exception of a tear in the outside box. The books themselves, the dust jackets, the surface condition are all excellent. The tear does not affect the stability of the box in anyway either so the volumes are still safe and tidy tucked away in their protective box.
