The books are in pristine condition, free from inscriptions, blemishes or markings and from a smoke free home. All the books are illustrated by Francis Mosley. The slipcase and books are all in very good condition, with some scrape marks and scuffs to the bottom of the box (as you'd expect since this is the surface in most contact with other surfaces that the item is sitting on).    First edition, first printing of The Oxford Sherlock Holmes, all 9 volumes complete with dustjackets and slipcase. These books have no bookplates and no markings at all in them. However, the top edges of these books have some small flecks on them (see the photo of upper edges). Also, the last three books -- The Valley of Fear, His Last Bow, and The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes (the three books on the right in the photo of the upper edges) -- appear to have sustained some minor water damage around the top edge.
